who are you
You’re the ideal candidate for us if you:
- Are at least 16 years old;
- Are available during summer weeks 28 to 34 (min. 2 weeks availability!);
- Can work 24 to 40 hours per week;
- Are physically fit: lifting and stacking boxes is no problem for you;
- Can communicate in Dutch or English;
what will you do
What does a day as a warehouse assistant at Van Dijk look like?
At the start of your shift, you and your colleagues head to the department where you're scheduled. Your team leader is already there to explain what's expected of you. Are you picking orders? Then you walk through the warehouse with a picking list to collect the right books. Are you at Scan Pack? Then you process the picked bookpackages by scanning them and preparing them for shipment. Are
you scheduled for LTU? Then you're sorting all the books. You'll be on the move a lot, so you can cancel your gym membership!
From week 28 to week 34, you'll work in shifts. One week you'll work the morning shift, and the next week, the afternoon shift. This way, you'll have plenty of time to do fun things!
The times are as follows:
Morning: 07:00 - 14:45
Afternoon: 15:00 - 22:45
where will you work
At VanDijk, you'll work in the warehouse of one of the largest school book suppliers in the Netherlands. All high school books are sent out from Kampen. There's a large terrace where you can chill in the sun during breaks and a canteen with tasty sandwiches. Transportation? Check! There's a free bus to and from Kampen. And the best part is that you'll also get to meet lots of new people!
