Both of my children received an excellent education here. They are involved in many sports clubs and leadership programs. The small class sizes were ideal and it allowed them to really get to know what was being taught. They care about the whole child, with the right counseling and an advisory program which helps the student stay on track. Academically, there is all levels for a student to learn from college prep to AP. The administration is working to move the school forward on all levels and living the mission statement is what it is all about.

We have been quite pleased with the Austin Preparatory experience, as have both of our children. My oldest was well prepared for the academic rigors of college and my youngest had no desire to even look at another high school, even though both started at Austin in 6th grade. The combination of small class sizes, caring faculty, a focus on volunteerism and charity and a wide variety of activities where students can find their niche makes Austin a truly special place. The mission is more important than any individual component, and this shows through with the finished product of a prepared and well-rounded young adult. As I have often heard from adults who are impressed by the caliber of students they encounter, "you can always tell and Austin Prep kid". Highly recommend Austin for families looking for a true independent school experience that supports the entire growth of the student.

I have two children that have attended Austin Prep. My son graduated in 2018 and I have a daughter that's just finishing up her Freshmen year at AP. Both of my children have had fantastic academic, athletic (son-track, hockey and soccer), artistic (daughter-ballet and dance), spiritual, service and social experiences at AP. They've been challenged academically especially with the small classroom sizes which puts an emphasis on making sure they're prepared for each classroom discussion. My son just finished his Freshmen year in college and he felt that he was well prepared for the challenge of college academics. Both of my kids started at Austin in 9th grade not really knowing anyone and both have formed a great circle of friends from many different surrounding communities. My wife and I have been very happy with our choice to send our children to Austin Prep for High School and highly recommend that others consider it too!

We could not be happier with our decision to send our son to Austin Prep! The advisory program, academics, and wide range of clubs and sports are top notch! The environment is positive and welcoming. Great experience all around! Parent

My daughter received an excellent education. However, because most students are financially well off, the guidance counselors are terrible about recommending students for scholarships. My daughter graduated with a 4.1 GPA, was AP Scholar, but received no scholarships of ANY kind. I found out later that there were several scholarships that she qualified for that can only be obtained through school guidance counselors. An extremely poor job by them in my daughter's case

The teachers are Austin Prep's greatest resource. They are genuinely interested in educating the whole person and in developing lifelong learners and engaged citizens. Two of our children, who have very different strengths and weaknesses, have matriculated at Austin and both have thrived in all facets of their high school experiences. The fact that Austin is a coed, grades 6-12 school had great appeal as we pondered a variety of independent school options north of Boston.
